Artwork Requirements
  • Files MUST be 300DPI-900DPI with a transparent background
  • Required File Type: PNG
  • Images must be saved as a CMYK file.  If you submit as RGB our software will automatically convert it to CMYK so it will not be an exact match.  Armor Ink is not responsible for color mismatches due to files being incorrectly submitted.
  • Submit individual artwork the exact size that you desire printed.  If you're not able to do so please select the "Review File" option for an additional $10 charge per review.
  • Submitted gang sheet files must be sized exactly as selected and if you need minor layout changes select the "Review File" option for an additional $10 charge per review.
  • If using a gang sheet you can use it for a single image printed multiple times, or for as many different images as you can fit onto the selected size.
  • Custom transfer sizing is done by using the longest side of the image.
  • If you plan on pressing onto a black garment select "Knock Out Black" and black ink will not be used to create your image.  This will result in a much softer feeling print that will enhance the look and feel for your customers!
  • Armor Ink only produces DTFs and not vinyl, laser prints, sublimation, screen press, etc.  If you are not sure what DTFs are then please checkout our article HERE!

*If artwork that is submitted does not meet our DPI requirements and is not in CMYK format, Armor Ink LLC is in no way responsible for images not meeting the customers expectations as we are unable to guarantee the desired results.

Copyrights & Trademarks
  • ARMOR INK CAN NOT PRINT ANY TRADEMARKED/COPYRIGHTED IMAGES!

This is for your protection as well as our own, as doing so will open you and us up to the possibility of a lawsuit.  Common examples of this are: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, College sports, Disney characters, Fashion brands, watermarked images, and screenshots.  If you submit these images they will be REMOVED from your order.  If the entire order is comprised of copyrighted images, then the order will be canceled and refunded.  If you have written permission to recreate copyrighted materials submit proof to support@ArmorInk.com BEFORE ordering.

  • Please note that for all images submitted and accepted, you are solely responsible for determining if any designs are trademarked/copyrighted and if there are any legal limitations for your intended usage. By purchasing, you verify that you are the original designer or have purchased the necessary licenses.
Application Instructions
Cotton

PRE-PRESS
: Pre-Press the garment for 5-10 seconds (before applying image) this releases wrinkles and properly preps the garment. *We recommend using a lint roller to provide the perfect surface.*

1ST PRESS: Place Image (printed-side DOWN) onto garment. Press at 270-300F degrees for 10-14 seconds HEAVY pressure. *If the transfer doesn't release properly you will need to adjust temperature and/or increase pressure. Start with the lower temperature and work your way up to find your zone*

HOT PEEL: Our film is hot peel. Immediately after pressing, carefully peel the film away from the garment. The film should release, leaving the transfer on the garment. *If it doesn't release smoothly, it
is fine to press again during this step and then remove.*

2ND PRESS: For the 2nd press, cover with parchment paper (for matte look), Teflon (shiny look) and press for 270-300F for 10-14 seconds with HEAVY pressure. *When properly pressed
the fabric lines should be clearly visible on the transfer*

PRE-PRESS: Pre-press the garment for 5-10 seconds (before applying image) this releases wrinkles and moisture and will properly prepare the garment for the transfer. *We recommend using a lint roller to provide the perfect surface.*

1ST PRESS: Place Image (printed-side DOWN) onto garment. Press at 270F degrees for 3-10 seconds HEAVY pressure. *The lower temp and time is due to the fabric absorbing heat at a faster rate. We suggest experimenting to determine the best settings for your heat press. *If the film doesn't release easily after first press then press again before releasing*

HOT PEEL: Remove the film immediately after opening and the film should peel right off leaving the transfer.

2ND PRESS: Cover with parchment paper (for matte look), or Teflon (shiny look) and press for 270F degrees for 3-10 seconds.

the fabric. Just allow the fabric to cool in between presses.*

2ND PRESS: Cover with parchment paper (for matte look), or Teflon (shiny look) and press for 260F degrees for 8 seconds.

*Note: Since heat presses vary in temperatures and pressure calibration, we recommend verifying the accuracy of
your own. We have attached a general recommendation guide for your use. If you haven't ordered from us before
we recommend ordering a few extra designs to find your optimal time, temp, and pressure settings.*
