Upload your designPNG with a transparent background works best, at 300 dpi at the size you will apply. Anything that is not transparent prints, including white, so the file is the finished decal.

Application

How to apply a UV DTF transfer

No heat press, no iron. Each decal arrives on its own piece of carrier. Apply it like a sticker in four steps.

Prep the surfaceStart with a clean, smooth, dry surface free of dust and oils. Wipe it with alcohol if needed and let it dry.
Peel and positionPeel the backing liner away from a corner. Line up the center of the design where you want it and lay it down evenly, like a sticker.
ApplyStarting from the center, press the design out with your fingers or a squeegee. Work outward with even pressure, especially around edges and fine details.
Final peel and cureSlowly peel the top film away at a sharp angle. If anything lifts, lay the film back down, press again and peel slowly. Then let it cure 24 to 48 hours before washing, and hand wash after that.

Cup wraps: wrap around the tumbler in one motion, then squeegee from the seam outward. Avoid rough, porous, oily or heavily textured surfaces. Questions? Email support@armorink.com.

What does ordering UV DTF decals by size mean?

You upload one design and type the exact width and height you want, then choose how many you need. We print that many copies at that size, each on its own piece of carrier, ready to peel and stick. It is the quickest way to order when you have one design, as opposed to a gang sheet where you lay out many designs yourself.

How much does a UV DTF decal cost?

It depends on the square inches you order. A single 2 by 2 inch decal is $0.48; a dozen 16 oz can wraps are $2.09 each; a dozen 4 by 4 labels are $0.85 each and fifty are $0.73 each. The rate per square inch falls from 12 cents on tiny orders to about 3.4 cents on large runs, and orders of $100 or more get 5% to 25% off at checkout. The calculator on this page shows your price.

Is it cheaper to order by size or to build a UV gang sheet?

For one design in quantity, by size is simpler and usually just as cheap. For many different designs, the UV gang sheet builder lets you pack them onto one 22 inch sheet at one price per inch, which is normally the lowest cost per decal. Both print on the same film with the same ink and ship in the same 24 hours.

What surfaces do UV DTF decals stick to?

Clean, smooth, hard surfaces: glass, stainless steel, metal, plastic, acrylic, ceramic, coated wood, tumblers, cups and signs. Avoid rough, porous, oily or heavily textured surfaces. They are not for fabric; order DTF transfers for shirts.

Do I need a heat press?

No. UV DTF decals need no heat press, iron or other heat source. Peel the backing, position the decal on a clean surface, press or squeegee it firmly, and remove the carrier film.

What file should I upload?

A PNG with a transparent background, exported at 300 dpi at the size you plan to apply. Anything that is not transparent in the file prints, including white. PDF is also accepted, and the uploader can remove a flat background for you.

What sizes can I order?

Any width up to 22 inches and any height. A standard 16 oz glass can wrap is about 9.5 by 4.3 inches; a 20 oz skinny tumbler wrap is about 9.3 by 8.2.

Are the decals waterproof and dishwasher safe?

They are waterproof and outdoor safe. For drinkware we recommend hand washing: let the decal cure for 24 to 48 hours after applying it, then hand wash with mild soap and no abrasive scrubbers.

How fast will my decals ship?

Orders are printed and shipped within 24 hours on business days from Ellinwood, Kansas. UPS Ground reaches most of the US in two to three days. UPS 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are available at checkout, and shipping is free by UPS Ground on orders of $75 or more.

Can I order the same design in several sizes?

Yes. Add each size as its own line: for example the logo at 2 inches for lids, 4 inches for jars and 9 inches for tumblers. Each line is priced on its own total area, and the whole order counts toward the automatic discount.

What if something is wrong with my order?

Contact us within 30 days. If a print is wrong because of something we did, such as a print defect or a shipping error, we reprint and reship it at no cost. Send a photo and your order number to support@armorink.com and we will sort it out.
