Choosing printer parts and cleaning supplies

Cleaning liquids

  • Nozzle wash cleans. Dried ink on the nozzle plate, the capping station and wiper, and clogs in dampers and lines. For a stubborn channel, park the head on a cap wet with nozzle wash for 30 minutes to overnight, then clean and check.
  • Moisturizing liquid prevents. 2 to 5 ml on the cap sponge every evening keeps the head wet while the printer is parked. It does not clear clogs.
  • 100 ml or 1 L. The small bottle covers daily upkeep on one printer for months. The liter is for shops that flush lines or run several printers, at about a third of the price per 100 ml.

Swabs

  • Lint-free foam tip. Holds cleaning solution without shedding fibers that block nozzles or break the cap seal.
  • The daily wipe. Capping station rim and sponge, both faces of the wiper blade, the carriage and spills. One swab, one job.
  • Never scrub the nozzle plate. Blot only, with a fresh wet swab and no pressure.
  • Pack of 100, about three months of daily cleaning on one printer.

i3200 parts

  • Dampers, four per head. They filter the ink and buffer pressure. Replace the set every 3 to 6 months, sooner on white.
  • Damper trouble stays on one channel: fine after a clean, failing again within the hour, or light bands in solid white.
  • Head cable, 14 pins, 60 cm. Cable trouble wanders: nozzles that move between checks, a channel that drops at one end of the rail, or a head the printer stops detecting.
  • Both are cheap. Swap them before you suspect the printhead.

Why buy it here

Same parts. Better place to buy them.

The same damper or bottle is sold in a lot of places. What changes is whether it is in stock in the US, whether anyone can tell you how to fit it, and who answers when it does not fix the problem.

GOOD TO KNOW

Printer parts questions, answered

Will these parts fit my printer?

The nozzle wash, moisturizing liquid and swabs work with any DTF printer built on an Epson printhead, which is nearly every desktop and roll DTF printer sold in the US (I3200, I1600, XP600, DX5, DX7, TX800, 4720, 5113 and the rest). The damper and head cable are specific to Epson i3200 heads; for the cable, match the pin count (14) and length (60 cm) to the one you are replacing. Not sure? Send us your printer model before you order.

Is shipping free?

Yes. Every part ships free by UPS from Kansas, with no minimum.

How fast will my order ship?

Orders are usually processed and shipped within 24 hours on business days. UPS Ground reaches most of the US in two to five days, and you get tracking by email as soon as it leaves.

Nozzle wash or moisturizing liquid, which do I need?

The nozzle wash cleans: dried ink on the nozzle plate, the capping station, the wiper, and clogs in dampers and lines. The moisturizing liquid prevents: it keeps the capping station wet so the head does not dry out while the printer is parked. Most shops keep both. Use the wash to fix a problem and the moisturizing liquid every evening so it does not come back.

How often should I replace the dampers?

Every three to six months is typical, sooner for white ink and later for the colors. Replace a set early if a channel keeps failing a nozzle check within an hour of cleaning, if you see light bands in solid white, or if a channel is pulling air. An i3200 head takes four, and most shops replace all four together.

How do I know it is the head cable and not the head?

A cable problem wanders: missing nozzles that move around between checks, a channel that drops out when the carriage is at one end of the rail, or a head the printer stops detecting. A damper problem stays on one channel. The cable is cheap and quick to swap, so try it before you suspect the head.

Can I use the swabs on the nozzle plate?

Only to blot, with a fresh swab wet with nozzle wash and no pressure. Never scrub the nozzle plate; let a soak and a clean cycle do the work. The swabs are for the capping station, the wiper, the carriage and spills.

Do you carry other parts?

This collection is what we stock for our own i3200 printers. If you need something you do not see, tell us the printer and the symptom and we will point you to it.

What if a part arrives damaged or does not work?

Contact us right away and we will replace it. Send a photo and your order number to support@armorink.com.

Do you sell the ink, film and powder too?

Yes. We are an authorized Cowint distributor and stock their DTF film, ink and powder, and the UV DTF film and ink, in the same Kansas warehouse. Everything ships free.

Still have a question? Contact us or email support@armorink.com. Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Central.
